Jamie as a soldier is probably really similar to his MAGE form personality. Level-headed and more confident than normal. His area of expertise is strategy as his combat capabilities are barely average. He joins the Scouting Legion because of his hope to move humanity forward and to protect the ones he cares about. Outside of battle Jamie has little self esteem.
Nikolai grew up within the walls of Shina, but lost his family from an attack by bandits. Niko is an excellent soldier, excelling at the use of the 3DMG and has a nearly perfect combat form. He would make a capable leader but lacks the passion to do so. He joins the Scouting Legion because he found that living within the walls had little meaning and desired freedom for all humans more than anything. (also so many gomens for including niko in everything lately a;sfkalfks i just really want him in mage already)
Kuupo is an average soldier at best. His arrogant personality makes him hard to work with others but he has an uncanny loyalty to the people he is close to. He joins the Garrison because he prefers having the buffer of the wall for his safety but isn't skilled enough to join the Military Police.
